How To Make Your Own Foot Detox Bath

I don't know how many people have actually heard of foot detox, let alone a foot detox bath.

When I first heard about foot detox, I thought that my feet might be in need of some of this treatment. My partner is always complaining about the pungent odor seeping from my work boots, so there it was, my best excuse ever, my feet were a toxic waste ground.

Then I looked into foot detox a bit more and I discovered that it was more about extracting the toxins from your body than dealing with foot odor problems.

There are two types of products in this market. One of them is the detox foot patch which extracts the toxins through the pores in your feet while you are asleep.

The second product is the detox foot spa, or detox foot bath. This consists of a basic footbath with an implement that passes an electric charge, albeit a very small charge, through the water. The positive change is then supposed to draw out the toxins which are negatively charged. All there is something about solving their altogether by.

So I started to look into the possibility that there might be something of interest with these things. I went on to the Internet and low and behold there they were with a hefty price tag. So they I kept looking and eventually came across a site that gave you plans for a very rudimentary ionic foot spa of your very own.

Make Your Own Foot Detox Bath

Here is what you need to build your own detox foot bath.

Get down to your local hardware store and buy two foot basins, they only have to be big enough to fit one foot into. Then get a couple of 9V batteries, you know the big square ones that fit into a large torch. Then take a couple of stainless steel teaspoons from the kitchen drawer, make sure the wife doesn't catch you. Two small alligator clips. And to finish off, two 4 or 5 foot lengths of electrical wire.

The first thing to do is, take your spoons, crocodile clips, and your wire. You need to attach the wire to spoons with some masking tape. The other end of the wire is going to be attached to the crocodile clips. And the crocodile clips will eventually be attached to the batteries.

You need to fill your two basins with about 3 inches of water, warm enough to put your feet into. Add half a teaspoon of salt to each.

Now you can put 1 foot into each of the basins, take one piece of your wire and attach it to batteries place, and put the other end with the spoons attached into each bowl and relax.

Start with just a few minutes a day in increasing to about 30 minutes a day. You can actually do this with a little 9 V transformer.

It's not going to cost you much, and you can find out if it works for you. If you want to go out and buy the full Monty after, then you should go right ahead.

Oh, one more thing, if you are ill visit your doctor, don't be trying the footbath thinking that it will cure you of all diseases, it won't.

I wouldn't light any candles aound it because that sounds exactly how you seperate hydrogen from water.

That's very interesting! You can also add detoxifying herbs to foot baths, or in fact any herbs that you're using for particular conditions, they work very well that way. I just use a long thin caserole dish that my feet fit into.

Detox is extremely useful as it removes the toxins present in the body. Foot detox is effective because it is used on the night time and there will be no pain as well. Nice hub.

what side of the battery do u connect it to i tried and it did not work?????

Mike132654 2 years ago

Gina: one side of battery to each foot bath, does not matter which side is Pos/Neg. At no point let wires (or spoons) touch each other while other ends of wires are connected to battery. Your body is the connector, and at most you would feel a slight tingle, but maybe nothing. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO CUTS ON BOTH FEET; a cut on one foot only wouldn't matter. Make sure you are using conducting spoons. Simple test: if they are affected by magnet they will conduct. PS. AB Not enough power to convert enough hydrogen and oxygen into gasses to cause any danger, light all the candles you want. Otherwise, I could create enough hydrogen and oxygen out of water from a 9 volt battery(s) to run my car.

I have heard something about using tea bags and supposedly they will do the same thing. Anyone know ?

I did has instructed, tried for 1 hour and other than a tingle, no toxic coloring. I have fibromyalgia and felt there should have been something.

This is NOT a good thing to do!!! People can actually cause themselves arithmia and possibly a heart attack with even a slight 'tingle' especially over a period of time. If you want to post things for yourself to do God Bless You but please don't promote such foolishness to the public. geesh...
