Detox Foot Spa - Does It Work?
87The Detox Foot Spa really does sound unbelievable, I mean is it really possible to be able to sit in your favorite chair, with your feet in warm salt water, and cleanse your whole body of all toxins? Many, many people believe this when they purchase and use a detox foot spa.
Aqua Detox Foot Spas are being billed as an easy and convenient method of detoxings your whole body from the comfort of your lounge chair, in a safe and non-invasive way.
So, how do these Foot Detox Baths work? Well first off, the method here
is to place your feet inside the footbath, containing a couple od
inches of warm salt water, and relax. The mechanism in the bath causes
an electrical charge to be passed through the water(its only very mild,
so I’m told) creating positive ions. These positive ions attract the
negative ions in the toxins, and draw them through the soles of your
feet and into the water, causing a balance of energy within your body
after the toxins have been released.
Foot Bath
One of the focuses of reflexology is the feet. Reflexologists believe that there are points in the feet which attach directly to the major organs of the body and by manipulating these points, medicinal benefits can be achieved. The same sort of thinking is going on withFoot Detox. The makers of the Detox Foot Spa are saying there are a couple thousand pores at the bottom of your feet through which the toxins can pass. Moreover, because the feet are furthest away from your heart, they are a natural gathering place for toxins.
Detox Foot Spa
How do you know it’s
working? The visual impact is quite stunning. The time limit to have
your feet immersed in the water is about 30 minutes. Over that time the
water gradually turns brown. It looks fairly dramatic. The water turns
really muddy. Watch the video down below you don't believe me.
Detox is all the rage nowadays. Some has serious implications such as Alcohol Detox and Drug Detox.
People want to get healthy and stay healthy, we can all relate to that.
Our lives are speeding past so quickly, it's nice to think that we can
have some real benefits from relaxing with your feet soaking in warm
water, maybe while sipping a glass of wine. Yes I know, but don't worry
the toxins will be taken out of your body.
You have two
fantastic organs within your body that police toxins over a sustained
period of time, in the very controlled way. So, do we really need the
help of outside appliances? And, if these appliances really work, is it
healthy to shift so many toxins so quickly?
There has been lots of negative press following these Foot Detox Spas, and other Foot Detox problems such as the Foot Detox Pad.
Unfortunately,
many people today want a quick fix solution to problems that they have
brought on themselves by bad diet and lack of exercise. There is no
substitution for these things. Remember the old saying you are and what
you eat.

Everyone knows detox is important for our body. They help in removing the toxins present in the body. Detox foot spa are effective and they are painless too. Nice hub.
Interesting Hub! This might help: http://hubpages.com/hub/Get-Rid-of-Toxins-the-Natu
It is physically impossible to release anything through your feet except perspiration. Water changes according to the acidity of the perspiration. It is a total scam just ask any REAL doctor. Put nothing in the water just dip your feet in and then remove them and turn the "Ion bathe" on. water will still get muddy with NOTHING in it but a flash of the acids in your feet. Nothing you apply to the outside of your body will detox your entire body.
have just used for first time, my feet feel fantastic, thought I had arthritis in toes, I can now wiggle and no pain... am all for it...
Despite all the doubts about detox foot spa, it works for me. If it is true that the color changes in the water because of the rust from the arrays, then why the color of the water is so different from people to people who used the spa? Second, why did the water smell so bad for some people while not for others? I have witnessed many different scenereos from friends who used the detox foot spa. It is all too early to say it is a scam. Do more research and experience it for yourself before making a negative conclusion. I am not a spa professional or sales person. I am just a user and it has helped me a lot in terms of well being.
Am tempted to try this. great hub :)
Also for those who you are interested in possibly getting a detox foot bath & learning more about ionic detox foot spas to see if this is something to consider.. i found this great blog site for testimonials, Buyers Guide, technical details.. & more.. http://hymbas.com/blog
Date: 14/12/2010, I love massage, spa's etc. since last 2 weeks i was researching if the foot spa works, saw some people beleive in it but most said its scam. i had tried this few years ago at shopping center and had minor discolouration of water etc. anyway decided to buy this ION spa from ebay which came through china in weeks time.
Here are the results:
I tried with half a spoon of salt and saw that the water change colour the moment i put my foot inside. ( i said that cant be right) i went through the whole 30 minute and got the dense discolouration of the water mainly orange with organge particle residues floating.
Here is the tructh and exposed the scam.>>
I completed the circuit with putting the metal wire( used for fuse steel look) around wrist band and put that in water. SURPRISE!!! the water started changing colour the same way as the first excercise where i had feet in my water.
RESULT>>> ITS A SCAM>>>>>> DONT GO FOR IT>>>
Best way ti detox: is massage, lemonade, be veg for few days , zero alchol etc.
I used to get horrible mirgraines and headaches that lasted days and days with no relief from anything!!! since the foot detox spa..i havent had a migraine or lasting headach in over a year and my joints fel sooooo much better too!! I was a skeptic and now am a believer!! dont knock it till you try it!!
it does not work you idiots
:ll
THIS IS NOT TRUE !!!!!!!!!!
did and experiment at collage based on this and guess what its all a lie. you don't have to put your feet in the water for the water to change color you can just misx it up and it changes. the smell of chlorine does not come from your body it comes from the sodium chloride (salt) the colour change was actually the rusting of the iron, this did not mean that toxins were removed from your body.
THIS IS NOT TRUE JUST THEY ARE LIARS !!!!! I KNOW THIS BECAUSE WE DID A RESEARCH ON THEM IN COLLAGE !!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOT TRUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DON'T BE FOOLED
I saw this at the state fair (should have been a warning sign) and decided to give it a shot. Total scam. First, they admit it is like the foot pads (confirmed scam). Second, I took home some of their salt solution, mixed with some water, and attached a 9V battery with a paper clip. Guess how many parasites I found! lol.
jesse Gee.... go back to college and learn how to spell it... just saying ... lol
Shannon re Jesse.. hahah collage! I doubt she's in "collage!" haha! I don't know if it works or not, but your feet feel better for sure!
Great hub on Detox Foot Spa. I greatly enjoyed reading it. http://www.newspasolutions.com
JESSIE GEE, you spelling would suggest you've never been anywhere near a COLLAGE!
This is a scam...
There are a number of reasons for the different colors in the "detoxed" water. When tested in a college lab science class we found the presence of NO Bio Toxins...
Yes there were toxins...Nickle, Cadmium, Chromium, Iron Oxide, etc...
The color change can occur without putting your feet into water itself. None of the other things that should have been removed from the body via a detoxification process were present in any of the samples we took...Class of 21 Students...we ALL tried this machine or others that were similar.
We tried 3 levels various tests:
1) Machine only, de-ionized/filtered water, Epsom salt (as recommended in the instructions manual)
2) Machine only, local tap water, Epsom salt (as recommended in the instructions manual)
3) Machine, Students feet, de-ionized/filtered water, Epsom salt
4) Machine, Student feet, local tap water, Epsom salt
5) Machine, de-ionized/filtered water, NO Salts
6) Machine, tap water, NO salts
The results were telling:
1 & 2 the water changed color and had "toxins" in it. The water was tested afterwards and the presence of various metals were present. No Bio-Toxins
3 & 4 the water changed color and had various smells. The only bio-toxins present were body oils.
5 & 6 the water changed color only very slightly.
The salt/Epsom salts caused a reaction with the metals in the transformers/ionizers. We disassembled the ionizers after the experiment...
There is no SCIENTIFIC proof...there is no physiological way for this to "detox" treatment to work in this manner...
Buyer beware!
what can cause Detox Aqua Foot ? is there any negative of this therapy. because I tried it many time but now I have a problem in thyroid antibodies ????????
I first tried the detox foot bath at a holistic chiropractor's office. I was skeptical, but I did notice that after the treatment I felt more clear-headed and my body felt sort of lighter. Of course, the effect was temporary, as toxins build back up. I went back 4 more times and experienced the same feelings each time. The one thing I have not seen explained by those who debunk this treatment is why is it that each time the toxins drawn out in the water were different? I watched carefully but they only use plain old epsom salts in the water and nothing else. Anyone?
I have made my own colloidal silver for years and can certainly attest that the Foot Spa turning brown is a scam. If I make colloidal silver using Tap Water with any minerals in it it goes muddy brown in minutes. Adding Salt to tap water will certainly make this happen. If you want to test if your foot spa is working properly then use Demineralised Water pnly and make sure your feet are washed clean with a ph neautral soap first. If the water turns brown then I would be very surprised.
I am a nurse. What a load of bullsh**t. As for the "collage person" don';t you have toi be able to spell at your learning institution?????
I am trying the foot detox and my body is in terrible shape. I am very skeptical. There is a reaction to this treatment to the body but I believe it is the electrical current which even so small is helping your mine to think more clearly. Years ago electrical shocking was used to bring people out of depression. I feel more energetic after the treatment and I think more clearly which I believe is only due to the small amount of electrical current going through my body. It wears off fast. As for pain from arthritis, it has not helped at all. I like the feeling from the shock though. Perhaps we should ask someone who works with shock treatment therapy if this is what is actually happening. So if there is anyone out there who works in this field, please take the time to comment before more people waste their money on this treatment.
