73Body detoxification is a method of dealing with problems caused many different factors How are you doing? How do you feel? I'm asking this for a very simple reason, do you need detoxification and if you do while kind of detoxification are you going to do? There are so many detox methods out there that you can take part in, that it's very difficult sometimes to choose between them. You have body detoxification that works through the feet which is called foot detox. You have ways to detoxify the body through diet and nutrition, you have ways of detoxifying your body through herbs, and you have body cleansing detoxification through colonic cleansing. That is just the tip of the iceberg. It's impossible to go through all the different types of detox in a small hub like this. The biggest piece of advice I can give you if you are looking for methods of how to detoxify your body is to do a damn good search on the Internet.
You will find out so much information out there about different products, different methods of doing things, different tools that you can use for properly detoxify your body. Have a look down below and you will see detailed hubs on almost every body detoxification method that I will be covering in this hub. So where do you start? At first I am going to tell you about some of the methods that I actually use to detoxify the body. I love using anything that is natural and detox, because I think that the two things actually go together quite well. What I'm talking about are natural things, by that I mean anything that grows on trees, anything that comes up out of the ground, and I don't mean gofers and coons. Water has to play a massive part in any diet that I'm involved in, because water is the lifeblood of any animal, any vegetable, almost any living thing, and I can't think of anything offhand that doesn't need water to survive.
Body Detoxification
So to get into the whole body detoxification thing I'm going to talk about the natural detox diet first. Now as I said this is one of the natural methods to detoxify the body. First of all I'm just going to go over again the stuff about what toxins are and how they get into your system. So please bear with me. We have toxins everywhere, the more pollution there is around you the more toxins are going to get into your system through the air you breathe, and the food you eat, from the surfaces that you touch, everything, everywhere. I am lucky enough to be living in the west of Ireland. We have a prevailing westerly wind so although we get all the air that passes across the United States of America and over New York and Washington and the other big cities, before it heads out into the ocean, the Atlantic ocean acts as a huge filter. So by the time we actually get the air here in Ireland, any traces of pollution are long gone, hopefully! Anyways, back to the point. Body cleansing detoxification is very important because if you allow these toxins to build up around your organs, and your blood, they will infiltrate every corner of your body just like little dust mites in your house. So you need to detoxify your body every once in a while to spring clean things. A bit like cleaning out your garage, or your car, but a lot more important. So your natural detox diet can help to eliminate a lot of the toxins that are building up inside your body. Body detoxification can help you to lose weight because believe it or not these toxins actually add a lot of weight to your body. They get built-up inside the fat deposits; it's one way for your body to protect you against some of the nastier toxins. So if you go on a weight loss diet you are going to be shifting toxins as well.
One of the easiest things that you can do to help yourself to detoxify the body is to eliminate the sources of the toxins. I know you can't do much about the toxins that are floating around in your air. The only thing that you can do to improve this is to actually move away from where you are living to somewhere less toxic, you know the mountains, the sea, the west of Ireland, lol. Yes, it is fairly boring in the west of Ireland but the air is healthy. There are things you can do about your diet, you can detoxify the body on an ongoing basis by just eating the correct foodstuffs. Look, everybody knows that when you go to McDonald's and get a burger it's going to taste good, I like the taste of McDonald's burgers, I love the taste of Coca-Cola, I love a big juicy steak with all the fat left around side. But it just ain't healthy. I just can't eat that stuff anymore. I used to be able to because I didn't feel the effects but now I can. I'm going to have a heart attack if I continue eating that rubbish, I'm going to have liver problems, kidney problems, blood problems, brain problems, it just cannot go on. I started feeling the ill effects of my own by diet long before I knew what its affects actually were. Which at the time I thought I was having problems with my alcohol consumption, with which I was, but I was also too stupid to realize that as well. I really started paying attention to my own health issues in regards to food and body detoxification, when my nine-year-old son came home from school one day with an assignment about the bad effects of red meat on the system. And that pretty much shook me to the core, and really made me think. Now I still eat red meat but I don't eat as much of it as I used to, I don't eat as much saturated fat as I used to. It's all about trying to find a balance. They say that when you're trying to lose weight that you shouldn't cut out things that you really like, you should just cut them down. So say for instance you love chocolate or you are used to eating loads and loads of junk. When you go on a diet you should say to yourself I am not going to cut out chocolate altogether, I will have one piece every night I will look forward to that one piece. You will learn self-control through this and you will not be denying yourself anything. You will give yourself this piece of chocolate even if you have not achieved your weight loss, it is not a treat or a reward. It’s the same in eating foods to detoxify the body, eat a great diet but still have that small something that you really enjoy, keeping in mind the part about it being small! So one of the best things that you can do for yourself is to try and eat more organically. You must be able to find a farmer who is growing organic vegetables or fruit, or rearing organic beef, lamb, whatever, try and eat as much of that as you can, relative to the non-organic type that is. Also another piece of advice is Don't Drink The Tapwater. It is full of poison. Now, I'm not trying to scare anyone, you hear me say don’t drink the tapwater and you think it's going to kill you. It probably won't. It is not doing you any good though, it is full of those same toxins that you are trying to get out of yourself when you are under body detoxification. So buy some fresh drinking water, it is so good for you. And drink as much water as you can. This is the essence of life. It is so good for you that you cannot do without it. Okay so let’s move on...
So, they are many methods of body detoxification which are natural. One which I absolutely love is the fruit diet. The fruit diet allows you to detoxify your body extremely naturally. I mean, this method of body detoxification is just so pleasant to do. I love fruit, I always have. The way that you do the fruit diet is to take one day a month to start off with and only eat fruit and vegetables for that full day. Now, I would advise that at the beginning of the diet you take a protein shake if you're not used to this kind of natural body detoxification, because you do really need to take in proteins. Once you are used to doing the fruit diet you can just eat fresh fruit and vegetables. As a means to detoxify your body it is fantastic, especially if the fresh fruit and vegetables are organic. As you get used to this method of detoxification of the body you can do one day of body detoxify through the fruit diet every week, or maybe two days a month, then when you get more experienced go to three days a month. I personally do one day a week, and I've never felt so good. So anyway that is my hearty recommendation for the fruit diet. There is a method of detoxifying your body with cold water fasting which involves basically fasting for a full day and only drinking water. I personally don't like the fasting type of diet because it sends the wrong message to your body, or from your body to your brain. Basically your brain is ticking over on the juice of a caveman. Regardless of who you are, or who you think you are, your brain is still working off the basic fundamental blueprint that our friend uggh, who hid from the sabertooth tiger ever day of his life, used to survive. Now, what that basic level of brain juice does when you stop eating is, it sends messages to your brain to say frig this for a game of soldiers, I am starving, there's no food, so let’s go on into hibernation and start storing fat. So when you fast all these messages are flying around your brain like out of control fatties, and they are working against you. You're trying to lose weight and your body thinks that you are trying to starve it, so it goes on defense mode. So please do not try fasting. The only method I would recommend to detoxify the body over the long run is going to be eating a great diet. That means a healthy diet. All of the things I talked about before, eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, eating low fat meat, poultry, and fish, eating whole grain cereals, eating beans and pulses, nuts and dried fruit, anything that is natural you can eat. If you eat like this all the time then you can have those little side orders of chocolate, you can even go to Mac Donald's if you wish. You can do what you like. Because you are giving your body every chance to deal with the small amount of toxins that you will be taking in. This is because you have given your body all the stamina and building blocks that it needs to build a big strong capable body.
Another thing about methods to detoxify your body is please, please, please, do not attempt to detox any children! They do not need it if you are giving them a healthy diet. And if you are not giving them a healthy diet then shame on you!!! There is no reason on this planet for you not to be buying great food and not to be feeding your children healthily. I don't care if you say you are tired when you come in from work, that's no excuse. I don't care if you say you can't afford to buy healthy food, that is just bullshit, everyone can afford to buy healthy food. You should actually be trying to reduce the exposure that your children have to toxins in any way that you can. And I mean that not just in the food that you're giving them, but trying to improve the environment so that when they grow up and have their own children they will inherit a better place than our children have inherited now. The planet that we are giving to our children as an inheritance sucks big-time. That's for another hub though.

I drink a lot of water,but I also consume more spirts than the average person. And have for over 30 years. I am healthy and very active, still getting hit on from guys 25 yrs younger than me. Bless their hearts. Recently I've developed respitory problems.
My question is: Is it bettter to drink more water, even if it hasn't been filtered? Or is it quality, or the more the better? I live 3 miles from a major airport hub. Seatac,WA.
I would greatly appreciate your opinion.
