The choice of location is immaterial as most of Benidorm hotels are situated along the beautiful coastline.

Manhattan of Spain

Benidorm has been dubbed as the Manhattan of Spain because of the spectacular hotels – in number, in height and in architectural designs, mostly because the skyline resembles that of Manhattan. The city itself has two popular beaches – the Poniente and Levante. Its nightlife is very different – actually being from dusk to dawn. The whole family will enjoy the theme parks – Aqualandia is a water park, Mundomar features sea creatures and Terra Mitica gives a glimpse of ancient cultures of Egypt, Rome and Iberia.

Moving up, you will land in a square on top of the hill for a panoramic view of the bay of Altea.

Calpe

Calpe is about thirteen kilometers away from Benidorm, a short travel from Altea. This place is described as Benidorm sin the madding crowd, meaning it is quieter here and the beach is more suitable for little ones. It has a gentle slope to the water. Penon de Ifach, a rock formation, is a must visit unmistakable landmark in Calpe.

Villajoyosa

Going 22 kilometers south of Benidorm, you will reach the old town of Villajoyosa. The interesting part of your tour to this town is the colorful-five story houses. At the bottom is the long sandy beach. Another place of interest is the Fagor chocolate factory. Or – if you cannot go to the factory, you can stop over at the main highway for chocolate purchases at its chocolateria.
